I don’t recommend going back to an ex and I always practice what I preach - but I make exceptions for these products. I’ve tried other serums, other moisturisers and other toners, but nothing quite hits the spot like these do.

THE NIDA Moisturiser 🧴
The fact that this costs under $20 actually blows my mind.
I’ve had multiple strangers - people I’ve NEVER met before - compliment me on my skin since using this?! I never thought this would happen, but I guess anything is possible with NIDA.
No weird scent, no weird oily sheen, just simple hydration that makes me look smooth, fresh and (allegedly) amazing.
My only fault would be that I run out of it so fast because my sister keeps nicking it.
Mediheal Toner Pads 💦
My pet peeve is when masks and eye patches slide down my face... Like ‘Hello, I’m trying to relax and reset but you’re disturbing my peace??’
My requirements for a good toner pad are as follows: super thin, soothing scent, and grippy enough that they don’t slide anywhere but not rough enough that it leaves my face irritated. This checks all the boxes.
They’re perfect after a long day as little face masks for my chin and forehead areas, and I love wiping them across my face to feel extra fresh and clean.
Dr. Althea Gentle Vitamin C Serum 🍊
Vitamin C + sunscreen believer till I die.
Some lore for you: after I came off accutane my skin was so sensitive. My face would burn if I set foot in the sun, (something I’d never experienced before) and I was suffering from a bad case of blushing-all-the-time.
Since gently introducing this into my mornings, I’ve had little to no irritation whatsoever.
Gel Creams 💧
I think gel creams are so slept on.
Especially for the people with normal to oily, or sensitive skin; they’re lightweight, still hydrating, and don't feel pore clogging in the slightest.
My personal favourite is the PURITO Seoul Oat In Gel Cream and I recently tried the Torriden Dive In Hyaluronic Acid Soothing Cream which actually sits really nicely under makeup!
Cleansing Balms 🍦
I genuinely think that people who don’t like them just aren’t using them properly.
Every cleansing balm I have ever tried melts every ounce of makeup off my face - even the most stubborn, smudge-proof mascara known to man - without any tight or stripped feeling.
And then you go in with your water-based cleanser and BOOM! The cleanest skin you have ever experienced in your life.
